Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating a Panqui account or using Panqui, you agree to these Terms of Service. You must be at least 18 years old. If you use Panqui on behalf of a household or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.

2. The Service

Panqui is a private journal of a pet's life that can become a shareable Tribute. You compose Moments, invite family and friends to follow and contribute, and — when your pet passes — you may open a Tribute and, if you wish, share it through a private link. You may also compose a Photo Book: a print-ready PDF keepsake made from your Moments. Panqui is currently free. The Photo Book is planned as a paid download; pricing and checkout will be shown before any charge and incorporated into these Terms when introduced.

3. Your Account

Panqui has no passwords: you sign in with a single-use magic link sent to your email, so keep access to your email secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. The Owner who first creates a journal is its Creator — the only Owner who can remove other Owners or delete the journal, and the one Owner who cannot be removed.

4. Your Content

You retain all rights to the photos, videos, and captions you add to Panqui. You grant us a limited license to store, process, adapt, and display that content solely to provide the service — including composing your Photo Book and, when you choose, showing your Tribute to the people you share its link with. We claim no ownership over your content and never use it for advertising.

5. The People You Invite, and Visitors

You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to share the photos and videos of the people and pets in it. You choose whom to invite as a Contributor or co-owner, and you moderate every memory a public-link visitor submits before it appears. Do not invite others to, or use Panqui for, content you do not have the right to share.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Panqui to:

  • Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or content you do not have the right to share;
  • Harass, impersonate, or violate the privacy of others;
  • Circumvent authentication, rate limits, or access controls, or access the service with automated scripts;
  • Resell or redistribute access to the service without written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that put the platform or its users at risk.

7. Photo Books and Payment

Panqui is free to use today. When the paid Photo Book launches, purchases will be processed by Stripe, Inc., the price will be shown before you pay, and the Book is delivered as a digital download (a PDF). Because it is a digital good delivered immediately, purchases are governed by our Refund Policy.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We work to keep your journal safe, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and you are encouraged to keep your own copies of irreplaceable photos and videos. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Panqui is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50.00 USD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute shall be the state or federal courts of Bexar County, Texas.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
