1. Who We Are
Panqui is operated by Carajillo Solutions LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Panqui," "we," "us," or "our"). Contact: panqui@caraji.io | Carajillo Solutions LLC, 13423 Blanco Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78216, USA.
2. What Panqui Is
Panqui is a private journal of your pet's life. You add photos, videos, and captions as Moments; you can invite family and friends to follow along and add their own; and when your pet passes, the journal can gently become a Tribute that you may choose to share through a private link. Panqui does not connect to, log in to, or post on any social network. When you share a photo or video, Panqui hands the file to your device's own share sheet and steps away — we never publish on your behalf.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only what the service needs:
- Account information: your email address and name. Panqui has no passwords — you sign in with a single-use magic link sent to your email.
- Your journal: your pet's name and details, and the Moments you create — photos, videos, captions, dates, and each Moment's kind (everyday, milestone, or vet visit). Vet-visit Moments are narrative only; Panqui stores no structured medical, vaccination, or medication records.
- Media: the photos and videos you upload, stored on Cloudflare R2.
- People you invite: the name and email address of each Contributor or co-owner you invite, so we can deliver their invitation and attribute what they add.
- Visitor memories: if you enable a Tribute's public link, visitors may add a memory using only a display name; it stays hidden until you approve it.
- Payment information (not collected today): Panqui is currently free and we process no payments. When the paid Photo Book launches, checkout will be handled by Stripe, Inc.; we would receive a customer ID and payment metadata, never your full card number.
- Technical information: a first-party session cookie (which also remembers your language) and a CSRF token, plus standard server logs. There are no advertising cookies and no behavioral tracking.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide Panqui: to store and display your journal, to send magic-link sign-in emails and the notifications and weekly digests you opt into, to compose the Photo Book PDF when you ask, and to keep the service secure. We never sell personal data, and we never use your content, your photos, or your invitees' information for advertising.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal data only with the service providers below, and only to operate Panqui:
| Provider | Location | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| DigitalOcean LLC | United States | Cloud hosting |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | United States / global | Media storage (R2) and content delivery |
| Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) | European Union | Transactional and digest email delivery |
| Stripe, Inc. | United States | Payment processing (only if and when the paid Photo Book launches) |
These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose beyond providing services to Panqui. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone.
6. The People You Invite, and Visitors
Contributors and co-owners you invite can see the journal you invited them to; a co-owner has the same control over that journal as you do. A visitor who reaches a Tribute's public link sees the tribute and may submit a memory, which stays hidden until you approve it. You decide who is invited and can revoke a Contributor's access at any time; past attribution is kept so the journal stays coherent.
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Sign-in magic links are single-use and expire. Access to production systems is restricted and authenticated. Public Tribute links use an unguessable token that you can disable at any time. No security measure is absolute; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
8. Data Retention
- Active accounts: retained for the life of the account.
- After deletion: when you delete your account, your journals, pets, Moments, and their photos and videos are permanently erased from our systems and from media storage within 30 days.
- Server logs: rolled after 90 days.
- Stripe payment records: if the paid Photo Book has launched and you have made a purchase, related records are retained as required by tax law.
9. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to panqui@caraji.io, or follow the steps on our data deletion page. We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and fulfill them within 30 days. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
10. Children
Panqui is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
Our hosting and media storage are in the United States, and our email is delivered through a provider in the European Union. If you use Panqui from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in these locations, protected by the safeguards described above.
12. Changes to This Policy
If we make a material change, we will notify registered users by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. For minor updates (such as adding a new service provider), we will update this page and the "Last updated" date.
